Published on 29th July, the 150-page-long second edition of the Brand Finance Football Annual features detailed club profiles and provides in-depth analysis on football club brand values, enterprise values, sponsorship effectiveness, league reputation, and stadia performance. It includes special contributions by LaLiga, PSG, and ABSA, among others. The Annual builds on the findings of the Brand Finance Football 50 study on the world’s most valuable and strongest football club brands, and includes the methodology and results of the Buro Happold Venue Performance Rating framework.

Declan joined Brand Finance as an Analyst. During his time at Brand Finance, Declan has worked on projects in a range of sectors, but with a specific focus on Banking, Insurance and Mining, as well as extensive experience in evaluation of sports sponsorship activities. Declan has performed various valuations and conducted strategic analysis for a number of notable clients such as Chevron, Barclays, Zurich, Allianz and Rio Tinto. From these Valuations, Declan has been able to advise our clients about strategies that could maximise their Business Values through increased utility from their brand.Declan studied at the University of Cape Town and graduated with Bachelor of Business Science in Finance with Economics. He is currently studying to become a Chartered Accountant with Brand Finance, and recently completed the first level of the Chartered Financial Analyst exams.
Hugo Hensley is a Senior Consultant based out of Brand Finance London. He specialises in value-based brand strategy, technical valuations and sports consulting. The has more than four years of international experience within Brand Finance in London and Sydney. He has worked for clients such as Chevron, S&P Global, Insurance Australia Group and SABIC, among other. Hugo is a qualifying Chartered Accountant and he has lectured in Brand Valuation at UNSW; Masters in Engineering from Oxford University.
Since joining Buro Happold in 2006 Andy’s drive for people-centred design encouraged him to focus on the Sports and Cultural sectors, and he now leads the dedicated Sports and Entertainment team in our Bath Office.
Andy specialises in venue design and has played significant roles on many high profile projects, including Etihad South Stand Expansion, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, O2 Arena (London), Coca-Cola Arena (Dubai), 3 Arena (Dublin), West End Stadium (Cincinnati) and the new Everton Stadium.
Drawing on his wide range of experience in venue design, and that of the team around him, Andy has spearheaded the development the Venue Performance Rating (VPR) philosophy and system. He is strongest when collaborating directly with clients to understand their specific aspirations and desired outcomes. This cooperative approach leads to remarkable results, which can be seen in many outstanding and awarding winning projects - most recently Louvre Abu Dhabi and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
