As Brand Finance celebrates its 25th Anniversary, we invite you to our Global Intangible Finance Tracker (GIFT™) 2021 launch event, where we will disclose the findings of our latest report and discuss the evolution of intangible asset value over the past 25 years.

We will be joined by high-profile speakers from the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) and the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) who will provide insights into the future direction of travel for intangible asset reporting.

Organised in partnership with the IVSC, the 90-minute online webinar will include a presentation of the GIFT™ 2021 report findings, as well as guest-speaker discussions and an interactive Q&A session.

The International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC) is a not-for-profit organisation that acts as the global standard setter for the valuation profession, serving the public interest. The IVSC is unique in the role it plays as a valuation standard setter. It is not a valuation trade body. The IVSC is a leader in the mission to raise standards of international valuation practice and is overseen by an independent board of global leaders. Its core objectives are to:

David Haigh
Chairman and CEO
Brand Finance

David is the Chairman and CEO of Brand Finance Plc – the world’s leading brand valuation consultancy. He has worked in the area of branded business, brand, and intangible asset valuation since 1991. He specialised entirely in the field after becoming the Director of Brand Valuation for Interbrand in 1995. He subsequently left Interbrand in 1996 to launch Brand Finance which is celebrating 25 years in business this year.

David represented the British Standards Institution in the working parties responsible for crafting international industry standards: ISO 10668 on Brand Valuation in 2010 and ISO 20671 on Brand Evaluation in 2019.

David is a passionate writer and has authored many articles on brand valuation, published in numerous marketing and finance newspapers and magazines, such as: Financial Times, Accountancy Age, and Marketing Week. He has also lectured on the topic of brand valuation for Harvard, Chicago, and London Business Schools.

David graduated from Bristol University with an English degree, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London, and obtained a postgraduate diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). He is a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and has a practising certificate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

Annie Brown
Brand Finance

Annie Brown is an Associate at Brand Finance; she joined the London office as an analyst in 2017. A trainee management accountant, Annie has written a whitepaper examining the veracity of goodwill valuation, led the annual Global Intangible Finance Tracker study, and worked on numerous technical and strategic Brand Valuation projects. Annie specialises in the Oil & Gas and Banking industries and has worked with Shell, Neste, Barclays and TD Bank. Prior to joining Brand Finance, Annie studied Philosophy & Economics at Edinburgh University.
